Havana, Feb 22 (ACN) Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel regretted the human loss caused by the collapsed of a gold mine in the Venezuela state of Bolivar.
On his X account, https://shorturl.at/fgprL the head of state conveyed his condolences to the Venezuelan government and people as well as to the relatives and friends of 16 victims and the wounded.
Also on X, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez expressed his sympathies to Venezuelan authorities and the people for the human loss at the mine located in the locality of La Paragua. https://shorturl.at/dhwxW
Media reports say that at lease 16 people died and 16 were wounded in the mine collapse on Wednesday i the gold mine called Bulla Loca, located at 750 kilometers southeast of the capital Caracas.
On Thursday, workers with the National Risk Management System and with safety agencies were working at the place.
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro expressed his support to the relatives of the miners and he said that rescue ops would be reinforced.
