Varadero, Feb 21 (ACN) For the first time, Cuba will host the “International School on Nuclear Methods and Applied Research in Environmental, Material and Life Sciences,” an event aimed at boosting scientific cooperation with Russia, to take place in this tourist region February 26-29.
Sponsored by the Dubna Unified Institute for Nuclear Research (IUIN) and the Cuban Agency for Nuclear Energy and Advanced Technology, the forum will gather experts and young researchers from Latin American nations.
Different institution are expected to sign accords during the meeting said communications specialist Eleonaivys Parsons, who noted that the forum will be hosted by the Solymar Hotel, here in Varadero tourist center.
Part of the event’s agenda will take place in the capital Havana including technical visits to local institutions like the Center for Advanced Studies (CEA), pioneer in the development and research on nanotechnology and nanoscience, Parson said.
