Left-wing intelligentsia reaffirms solidarity with Palestine

HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 14 (ACN) The majority support to the Palestinian cause of the participants of the 2nd International Meeting of Theoretical Publications of Parties and Movements of the Left became manifest with the approval of a declaration of solidarity with the Palestinian people.

Prior to the declaration, the Spanish MP Manu Pineda referred to the harsh reality of the situation caused by Israel’s genocidal attacks against the defenseless civilian population and to the ongoing relentless struggle between humanity and barbarism that is deciding the right to life of millions.

“If this is not stopped immediately, the consequences will weigh for decades in the conscience of humanity as the greatest catastrophe of recent times, caused in complicity with imperialism,” he warned.

The document condemns those responsible for the injustices, genocide and forced displacement of entire communities that are taking place, holding them accountable for their crimes and issuing a call to the international community to keep demanding a cease-fire, the opening of a humanitarian corridor to allow the provision of relief, and efforts to find a comprehensive, just and lasting solution to the conflict.
