HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 13 (ACN) With the presence of Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and President of the Republic, takes place today, in Havana, the assessment of the work of the Courts System in 2023.
Participating in the meeting are territorial presidents of the highest body for the administration of justice in the municipalities and provinces, of the military courts and officials of the Ministry of Interior in charge of investigative activities.
Ruben Remigio Ferro, president of the People's Supreme Court, highlighted in the opening ceremony of the judicial year that in 2023 113,986 cases were processed and concluded, which is equivalent to 87.6 % of the total to be processed, and 49,932 final sentences were to be executed, of which 44,609 were fulfilled, for 89.3 %.
Roberto Morales Ojeda, Secretary of Organization, and Salvador Valdes Mesa, vice president of the country, are accompanying the Cuban president.
