HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 7 (ACN) Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel told Brazilian Minister of Health Carlos Gadelha that he is willing to resume the broad political, diplomatic and economic exchanges initiated under the Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Dilma Rousseff Administrations.
On Wednesday, Mr. Gadelha and his delegation had attended the meeting of the Brazil-Cuba binational management committee, which Díaz-Canel described as highly significant.
The Cuban head of state sent his greetings to the Brazilian people, Lula and the Brazilian health authorities and praised the reactivation of the committee to boost strategic alliances mainly in the fields of biopharmaceutical production and health regulation.
At the meeting, held together with Cuba’s Ministry of Public Health and its biopharmaceutical industry, the parties discussed priorities related to the treatment of cancer, diabetes and Alzheimer's, as well as to vaccine and biotechnological production.
