HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 6 (ACN) The People's Trade Fair on Digital Transformation concluded on Monday in Havana, with the presentation of awards to entities and companies from different provinces that contributed to the success of the event, including recognitions to organizations, institutions and the government of Havana.
The meeting, held for five days at the fairgrounds of Linea and 18, in Vedado, was widely welcomed by the public as a space of opportunities to satisfy the population with quality national goods and services, highly demanded and at affordable prices.
At the same time, it promoted the use of electronic payment channels, i.e., the Transfermovil and Enzona national gateways and point-of-sale (POS) terminals, as well as the Cola.cu application in several stands and tents, in order to order the marketing of products, among other services.
The fair allowed the linkage of state and non-state economic actors, and that vulnerable people and health institutions received free food, toiletries and household items, and services, so this gesture of entities such as the Camagüey Business Group of Trade, winner of the award for Corporate Social Responsibility, was also recognized.
The Popularity Award went to the stand of the Mercado Ideal El Cotorron, in the Havana municipality of Cotorro, while the area with the largest electronic sales operations was that of the Business Group of Domestic Commerce of Villa Clara.
Betsy Diaz Velazquez, Minister of Domestic Trade, and other leaders also presented awards to the Havana Business Group of Commerce, the Ministry of Communications, the Cuban Telecommunications Company, the banking system and the National Tax Administration Office, among others.
