HAVANA, Cuba, January 30 (ACN) A National Program for the study and promotion of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro’s thought, life and work was presented by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (CC PCC) at a meeting attended by Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel.
In presenting the program, Rogelio Polanco Fuentes, head of the PCC’s Ideological Department, stressed that it reflects the need to join efforts and resources to address the legacy of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution and thus contribute to the goal of developing an "independent, sovereign, socialist, democratic, prosperous and sustainable nation".
Rene Gonzalez Barrios, director of the Fidel Castro Ruz Center, reported on the steps of the institution to take stock of documents related to Fidel Castro kept by other entities, to digitize materials linked to the leader, and to prepare a 23-volume project that collects Selected Works of the Commander in Chief.
