CIENAGA DE ZAPATA, Cuba, Jan 26 (ACN) Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz begins a working visit to the province of Matanzas in this municipality, the largest and least populated in the country, to check works and strategies that contribute to socioeconomic development.
The premier was accompanied by Susely Morfa Gonzalez, first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba in the province, the vice governor Marieta Poey Zamora, and other political and governmental authorities.
Marrero Cruz learned about the recent opening, last December, of five rooms at the El Bosque Motel in honor of the 65th anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution.
In addition to its great natural importance for being the largest wetland in the Insular Caribbean, as well as for the flora and fauna it harbors, Cienaga de Zapata stands out for its historical relevance and evident socioeconomic evolution, as a result of the revolutionary work in the country.
