Havana, Jan 25 (ACN) The strong relations of friendship between Cuba and the Dominican Republic were stressed Thursday by Cuban Parliament President Esteban Lazo and by Jose Miguel Mejia, general secretary of the United Leftist Movement Party and Minister for Regional Integration Policies of the Dominican Republic.
Lazo recalled previous visits to Cuba by Mejias, particularly his tour of the Santiago de Cuba Santa Ifigenia cemetery; he also stressed the historic relationship between the two nations.
Jose Miguel Mejia expressed his satisfaction for having shared views with members of the Cuban Parliament.
The meeting was attended by Homero Acosta, Parliament secretary and by Jose Luis Toledo, president of the Parliament’s Constitutional and Legal Affairs Commission.
