HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 24 (ACN) Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel congratulated the Matanzas Cocodrilos team, winner of the 2nd Elite League of Cuban Baseball with a 12-5 victory over the Artemisa Cazadores .
The leader posted a message on X praising the team’s victory, in a stadium full to bursting, that sets in relief still another achievement of the province, which comes on top of six previous crowns in Cuban baseball championships.
Díaz-Canel thanked the players for a result that incites children across the nation to become baseball players, not without recognizing the performance of Artemisa province’s team, which he called “a worthy rival that gave its fans the greatest joy yet and now makes them dream”.
