Cuban western province to celebrate its 13 years of creation

ARTEMISA, Cuba, Jan. 8 (ACN) Artemisa will celebrate its 13th anniversary on January 9 with a celebration that mixes photography, history and a cultural gala with renowned guests, all as part of the Artemisa Juntos Somos Más (Artemisa Together We Are More) communications campaign.

The Juarez movie theater, in the provincial capital, will host tomorrow an exhibition by Otoniel Marquez Beltran, photojournalist of the weekly El Artemiseño, with some of the milestones of the province's development throughout its 13 years.

The exhibition will also recreate significant moments of the Juntos somos más campaign, an initiative that united political and mass organizations, whose closing coincides with the celebration of the triumphal entry of the Caravana de la Libertad (Freedom Caravan) on January 17.

The first issue of the weekly El Artemiseño will be thirteen years old on January 11; the headquarters of the Cuban Journalists Association (Upec by its Spanish acronym), in the capital municipality, will host an exhibition of pages that summarize the work of its journalists until this year.

Artemisa has much to celebrate, such as the achievements in the Mother and Child Program (PAMI by its Spanish acronym); it will then be a birthday to ratify the commitment to the sustainability of the best results, with the increase in food production and exports, with the recovery of the housing stock.
