HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 5 (ACN) Manuel Marrero Cruz, Cuban Prime Minister, congratulated today the members of the National Revolutionary Police (PNR), on the 65th anniversary of its creation.
On behalf of the government and the people of Cuba, congratulations to our heroes in blue, who in their tireless work guarantee public order and citizen tranquility, said the Cuban premier on X.
In the same social network, Esteban Lazo Hernandez, president of the National Assembly of People's Power, sent a recognition to the PNR and thanked them for their daily fight against crime, and for public order and citizen tranquility.
Long live the 65th anniversary of our PNR, women and men of the people standing up in the battle against crime, illegalities and social indiscipline, said the Ministry of the Interior on X.
The PNR is an institution of the Cuban State that gathers thousands of individuals with the mission of safeguarding order, discipline and the economic interests of the State.
On January 5, 1959, after the revolutionary victory on January 1, 1959, the police was formed, having as its antecedent the Rebel Police, which operated from the hills of eastern Cuba during the last stage of the insurrectional struggle.
