According to a statement on the Minint's website, nine people arrived by sea and 31 at the Jose Marti International Airport in Havana during the return operations.
Of those returned by the Coast Guard Service, eight were men and one woman, all participants in an illegal operation through the province of Matanzas, the statement added.
It said that of the citizens who arrived by air, 29 men and two women, three had left the country illegally by sea and the rest legally, but then took irregular routes to reach the U.S. border.
One of the returnees was transferred to the investigative body for allegedly committing a serious crime that was being investigated before being involved in the illegal departure, it continued.
MININT pointed out that with this operation there are 132 returns with 5,253 people returned in 2023 by air and sea from different countries in the region.
