HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 21 (ACN) Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel posted a message on X offering his condolences to the people and government of China for the earthquake that hit the provinces of Gansu and Qinghai in that country.
In another message, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs, regretted the loss of human lives and damages caused by the event.
According to local media, a 6.2 magnitude quake struck Gansu’s Jishisian county in the early in the early hours of Monday morning.
Gansu and Qinghai, in the mountainous region of northwest China, reported massive damage, at least 120 dead, more than 730 injured, 20 missing, and interruptions in the electricity and water supply systems.
