HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 20 (ACN) Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz sent his best regards today to the members of the Federation of University Students (FEU) on the 101st anniversary of their organization.
“Be worthy continuators of the example set by Mella, Echeverría, Fidel and all the valuable figures who were FEU members at different moments of the revolutionary process,” he wrote on X.
Other political authorities like Roberto Morales Ojeda, member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba; Esteban Lazo Hernández, president of the National Assembly of People's Power; and Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs, congratulated the university students and described FEU as a vanguard organization of the Cuban student movement closely linked to the history of the Homeland and to the defense of the ideas and principles championed by Cuban heroes and leaders.
Established on December 20, 1922 by Julio Antonio Mella, FEU gathers Cuban university students, represents their interests and enforces their rights. The organization is member of the Latin American and Caribbean Continental Organization of Students (OCLAE) and the International Union of Students (UIE).
