HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 18 (ACN) Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Party of Cuba and president of the country, is attending the meeting of the Economic Affairs Commission of the National Assembly of People's Power (ANPP) in Havana.
As a preview to the 2nd Ordinary Period of Sessions of the highest legislative body, in its 10th Legislature, its permanent commissions are discussing today and tomorrow at the Havana Convention Center important issues of interest for the country and the population.
Alongside the Cuban president are Esteban Lazo Hernandez, member of the Political Bureau and president of the ANPP, Joel Queipo Ruiz, member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee and head of its Economic-Productive Department, and Alejandro Gil Fernandez, deputy prime minister and head of economy and planning.
Monday, in the Economic Affairs Committee, its deputies will learn about the estimated closing of the Economy Plan in 2023 and the objectives and goals for 2024, as well as those of the State Budget, and the results of the control actions on its execution and its preparation for next year.
