Cuban authorities deny rumors about sale of spoiled products

HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 15 (ACN) Havana authorities have denied a fake information spread on social networks about the sale of expired products in the province.

Through its Facebook page, the Government of Havana said that an alert is circulating on social networks about an alleged container with expired products that were stolen and were being sold at modest prices in the informal market.

The fake information argues that there have been reported cases of intoxicated people, with vomiting and diarrhea, and that an alert had been issued on national television through the Buenos Dias magazine.

It is also described that the Ministry of Health informed that no ARCOR brand products should be purchased because they were contaminated with Salmonella bacteria.

All of the above is false, states the capital city government's statement, which calls on the population to get information through official channels.
