Havana, Dec 11 (ACN) A delegation from the Cuban Friendship Institute headed by local official Tamara Armenteros wound up a visit to Jamaica, the Cuban Foreign Ministry reported on its webpage.
The visitors held meetings with directives of the Jamaica-Cuba Friendship Association and with representatives of different political parties, social movements which make up the Solidarity-with-Cuba Movement.
The Cuban delegation participated at a ceremony paying tribute to Cuban independence hero Antonio Maceo on the 127th anniversary of his fall in combat; in celebrations for the CARICOM-Cuba Day; the Annual Encounter of the Solidarity-with-Cuba Movement.
They also toured the Fidel Castro campus at the Anchovy Secondary School, one of the education centers donated to Jamaica by the people and government of Cuba.
