HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 6 (ACN) With a tribute Tuesday to Imam Khomeini, leader of the Islamic Revolution, at the Mausoleum that bears his name in Tehran, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel concluded his official visit to Iran.
On the same day, the Cuban delegation also met with members of the Cuba solidarity movement, Iranian businesspeople, and Cubans residing in Iran.
Diaz-Canel's official visit responded to an invitation issued by President Seyed Ebrahim Raisi to consolidate and strengthen trade and cooperation relations between both countries in fields of common interest.
The two parties signed seven agreements in sectors such as economy, energy, agriculture, telecommunications, health care, and scientific-technical cooperation.
The Cuban delegation also visited the Iranian Pasteur Institute and met with Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, leader of the Islamic Revolution, and Mohamad Baqer Galibaf, president of the Islamic Consultative Assembly.
