Mexico returned 112 irregular migrants to Cuba

HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 8 (ACN) Pursuant to the bilateral migratory agreements, Mexico sent back to Cuba a group of 112 irregular migrants, made up of 67 men and 45 women who traveled to that country in order to reach the U.S. border, according to the Ministry of the Interior.

So far this year, 4,996 people have been returned to the island—789 of them from Mexico—in 120 operations by air and sea.

Cuba remains firmly committed to a regular, safe and orderly migration and reiterates the life-threatening risks that illegal departures and irregular migration entail.
