Havana, Oct 19 (ACN) Cuban Brigadier General in the reserve Jose Castro Delgado, who was the chief of the bodyguard service for Revolution leader Fidel Castro for many years, passed away at 86 on Wednesday, in Havana.
According to the announcement by the Interior Ministry, Castro Delgado was born to a humble farmer family and he joined the revolutionary struggle at very young age in the locality of Manicaragua, central province of Villa Clara.
During his 49-year service at the Interior Ministry, he carried out different missions; he was granted several distinctions for his services paid to the homeland.
