HAVANA, Cuba, Aug 4 (ACN) Salvador Valdes Mesa, vice president of the country, said today that the work of the socio-cultural project Cabildo Quisicuaba is extremely sensitive.
While visiting the project in the Havana municipality of Centro Habana, the VP spoke with the project's director, Enrique Aleman Gutierrez, about the attention given to the people involved in this initiative.
"Of extreme sensitivity is the socio-cultural project Cabildo Quisicuaba, a place where we shared today with its director, community and religious leader Enrique Aleman Gutierrez, about the attention to the people who attend there and are linked to the project," Valdes Mesa wrote on Twitter.
The soup kitchen is Quisicuaba's flagship work, which they defend with all their hearts, despite the impact of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States, the socio-cultural project indicated on the social network Facebook.
There are people that we must take care of all our lives, said the community leader, emphasizing the words of President Miguel Diaz-Canel, during the sessions of the 10th Legislature of the National Assembly of People's Power.
Valdes Mesa learned about the professional training that home social workers receive every Monday on topics such as communication and psychology, which are important for their daily work.
On Thursday, the vice-president visited the Quisicuaba assisted living agricultural camp, in the municipality of San Antonio de los Baños, in Artemisa, where they produce viands and vegetables that benefit the food of the social dining room.
Cabildo Quisicuaba is a community socio-cultural project in defense of the identity, history and culture of the municipality of Centro Habana, aimed mainly at the most vulnerable social groups.
