HAVANA, Cuba, Jul 31 (ACN) Jose Luis Toledo, chairman of the Constitutional and Legal Affairs Committee of the National Assembly of People's Power (Parliament) of Cuba, received today Tobias Bank, secretary general of the German party Die Linke (The Left).
On Twitter, the Parliament shared images of the meeting, which took place Monday at the National Capitol, as part of the work program of the German delegation in Cuba, which began last week.
Bank's agenda included a meeting with Emilio Lozada Garcia, head of the International Relations Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, where both parties reviewed the state of relations between their political formations.
The Die Linke Party has on several occasions expressed its support for socialist Cuba, and its denunciation of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States against the island for more than 60 years.
