Havana, June 15 (ACN) Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel held talks on Thursday with Pinarayi Vijayan, head of government of the Indian state of Kerala who is paying an official visit to Cuba.
On his Twitter account, Diaz-Canel reported on the exchange and stressed the excellent state of relations between Havana and New Delhi. He also underscored the willingness of both sides to keep strengthening bilateral cooperation in different areas of common interest.
The visiting Indian official, who is a member of his country’s Communist Party Politburo, wrote on Twitter that in his meeting with the Cuban President the addressed possibilities for cooperation in healthcare and sports.
According to the Vijayan, Diaz-Canel promised to follow the topics discussed and to visit Kerala in his next trip to India.
Pinarayi Vijayan arrived in Cuba on Wednesday to meet an official agenda which included meetings with local authorities and carry out other activities of interest.
