HAVANA, Cuba, May 21 (ACN) Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel witnessed a demonstration of the Meteoro 2023 drills at a gas enterprise in Havana designed for the fire department, the police and the entity’s staff and workers to practice the response to a simulated gas leak.
Díaz-Canel congratulated the participants for their level of organization and preparedness, which they proved during these exercises that they undertake on a regular basis on the premises and urged all bodies involved to keep improving the Cuban Civil Defense system, recognized worldwide for its professionalism.
The popular drills Meteoro 2023, held on May 20 and 21, included preparedness actions and practical activities carried out simultaneously throughout the country.
