HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 26 (ACN) Salvador Valdes Mesa, vice president of the country, attended today the first polling station in the municipality of Güines, in Mayabeque province, to exercise his right to vote.
According to the Mayabeque newspaper Diario Mayabeque on Facebook, Valdes Mesa was accompanied by Yuniasky Crespo Baquero, first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba in the territory, and governor Tamara Valido Benitez.
Outside the polling station, the vice president exchanged with voters, who shared their satisfaction of this electoral Sunday.
Valdes Mesa expressed that this is a day of defense for the political system, democracy and reaffirmation.
