HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 13 (ACN) The fight against crime and the national demographic situation will be some of the issues to be discussed today by delegates at the 10th Ordinary Session of the National Assembly of People's Power (Cuban Parliament) in its 9th Legislature.
During Tuesday's session, the Prime Minister of the Republic, Manuel Marrero Cruz, will report on measures aimed at fighting crime, corruption, illegalities and social indiscipline.
Likewise, the demographic situation of the country will be discussed and the opinion of the different parliamentary commissions will be presented.
The Council of State, presided by Esteban Lazo, will render its account, as well as other agencies such as the Ministry of Communications and the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic.
As part of the day's activities, the Draft Law on the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic of Cuba and the System of Superior Control of Public Funds and Administrative Management will be presented.
The Draft Law on Expropriation for Reasons of Public Utility or Social Interest will also be discussed.
The 10th Ordinary Period of Sessions of the National Assembly of People's Power will be held until December 14 at the Havana Convention Center.
