Havana, Dec 7 (ACN) Cuba’s Telecom company ETECSA announced the signing of an accord with Frances Orange S.A. company to expand and diversify internet capacities amidst growing demand of wide-band connection.
ETECSA’s website announced that the accord refers to a connection of Cuba, through the province of Cienfuegos to an underwater cable deployed by Orange, through its subsidiary Orange Marine, which will allow the international expansion of the Cuban company.
The physical structure of the cable will be ready for 2023 and will provide Cuba of a new path for its international services and will allow the expansion of connectivity in tune with economic possibilities.
The project is currently in full development and counts on all licenses for its deployment.
