HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 2 (ACN) Manuel Marrero Cruz, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and Prime Minister of the Republic, is attending today the opening of the 61st Plenary Session of the National Council of the Cuban Workers Federation (CTC by its Spanish acronym), where the fulfillment of the agreements adopted by the organization and the strategies aimed at boosting the economy are being discussed.
Roberto Morales Ojeda, member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the PCC, accompanies the head of government.
The National Council is made up of national union leaders from the different sectors, from the provincial and municipal levels and from leading labor centers of the CTC.
The report presented to the Plenary, points out that the workers' organization in 2022, in accordance with its function of representing the interests of the workers, advanced in the implementation of the ideas, concepts and guidelines approved at the 8th Congress of the PCC, as part of the updating of the economic and social model.
This meeting constitutes the most important between one Congress and another of the CTC.
