HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 29 (ACN) Miguel Diaz-Canel, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Cuban communist party and president of the country, reiterated that the energy issue was a priority in the work agenda of his recently concluded international tour.
The president stated on Twitter that during his visit to Algeria, Turkey, Russia and China, he found receptiveness, support and cooperation regarding the matter and other topics of interest.
With the tweet, Diaz-Canel shared the statements made by Vicente de la O Levy, minister of energy and mines, on the agreements reached with the authorities of these African, Asian and European nations that will benefit the National Electric System (SEN).
The official stated that it was decided to resume the stable supply of fuel from Algeria to Cuba, in Türkiye they exchanged on the operation of floating plants for electricity generation and its significance for the country, and multiple business opportunities were identified that exist for both parties, with priority in renewable energies.
While in Russia and China they talked about supporting SEN in issues related to fuel supply, renewable energy, and the operation of thermoelectric plants, among others.
Actions were also discussed to resume the photovoltaic parks that were stopped due to the lack of financing, as well as to analyze and make the payment conditions more flexible so that investments may continue.
