More than five million Cubans cast their vote

 

HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 27 (ACN) Five million 332 thousand 591 voters (63.85% of the electoral roll) had cast their ballots in the elections for delegates to the Municipal Assemblies of People's Power by 5:00 p.m. Sunday.
 
Dennis Juego Hidalgo, member of the National Electoral Council (CEN), referred to the computerization of the process based on programs developed by students of the University of Informatic Sciences, which contributes to the transparency and quality of the information.
 
 Of the 12,427 approved constituencies, nearly 1,567 nominated between two and seven candidates, who will have to rely on a second round to be held on December 4 for cases of candidates who earn less than half of the votes.
