HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 25 (ACN) On the occasion of the 6th anniversary of the death of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro Ruz, Miguel Diaz-Canel, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Party and president of the country, recalled today his revolutionary legacy.
The president, who is in the middle of his international tour, recalled on Twitter the person of the Commander-in-Chief, as well as the validity and value of his ideas today.
Manuel Marrero Cruz, Cuban PM, assured that the outstanding revolutionary lives in the heart of the people and in the heart of every person who defends his homeland.
Fidel will be wherever work is being done, wherever there is a Cuban doing good and wherever the Revolution is being defended, said Roberto Morales Ojeda, Member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the Communist Party of Cuba, on the same social media.
At the same time, Esteban Lazo Hernandez, president of the National Assembly of People's Power, sent a message in commemoration of the date recalling that Fidel lives in every Cuban.
Six years after the physical loss of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro, his legacy and example remain alive in the people determined to be consistent with the concept of Revolution as a guide for the present and the future of the Homeland, said the parliamentary leader.
The Cuban leader died in Havana on November 25, 2016, at 90, and his ashes were laid to rest in the Santa Ifigenia Cemetery, in a solemn ceremony, on December 4, 2016.
