HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 23 (ACN) Cuban Vice President Salvador Valdés Mesa received a delegation of legislators of the Agriculture Committee from the U.S. House of Representatives, namely Salud Carbajal, James Baird and Jahana Hayes, who were joined at the meeting by Benjamin Ziff, Chargé d'Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Havana.
On the Cuban side were Acting Foreign Affairs Minister Gerardo Peñalver Portal, Deputy Minister Carlos Fernández de Cossío and Lianys Torres, the island's Chargé d'Affaires in the United States.
The U.S. legislators, who traveled to Cuba on November 19, have met with government authorities, deputies of the National Assembly of People's Power, agricultural producers and the staff of scientific and commercial entities.
