
HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 21 (ACN) Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, began this Sunday his activities in Moscow as part of an official visit to Russia.
"President @DiazCanelB begins activities in Moscow this Sunday. He does so in a meeting with embassy staff and a representation of all official Cuban State entities working in #Russia. They talk about #Cuba, the Beloved Homeland."
Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, the island's foreign minister, who is part of the delegation, shared on Twitter that this will be a propitious space to continue deepening high-level political dialogue and bilateral ties in sectors of common interest.
He also noted that "gratifying exchange held Pdte @DiazCanelB with collective of the State Mission of #Cuba in #Russia. He addressed the priority tasks and challenges for the country".
The Foreign Minister stressed that the Cuban President highlighted the recent victory at the UN in the relentless battle of the Cuban people against the U.S. economic, commercial and financial blockade.
Upon his arrival in Moscow, the President received the news that the anti-COVID-19 Soberana vaccines continue to present credentials.
"In Moscow I receive this excellent news. Our Sobarana vaccines continue to present credentials. Congratulations to the Cuban scientists and thanks again for the feat. A hug. #Cuba," Díaz-Canel said on the digital platform.
The Cuban delegation arrived at Moscow's international airport, Vnukovo 2, after an intense work agenda in Algeria.
The official visit to Russia will be extended until November 22, days in which an official meeting with President Vladimir Putin is scheduled, as well as spaces for the tribute to the history of both nations.
In this second stop of the tour, Díaz-Canel is accompanied by the Cuban Foreign Minister; Deputy Prime Ministers Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz and Alejandro Gil Fernández, also Minister of Economy and Planning; as well as by the Ministers of Foreign Trade and Investment, Rodrigo Malmierca Díaz, and of Energy and Mines, Vicente de la O Levy.
