HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 11 (ACN) The 22nd International Scientific Congress of Agricultural Sciences will be held November 15-18 with the aim of strengthening the development of the productive panorama and highlighting the best scientific-technological practices in this field.
Promoted by the National Institute of Agricultural Sciences ( INCA), the event will be held at the Plaza America Convention Center in Varadero, with the attendance of researchers from 15 countries and Cuban experts.
Alexander Miranda Caballero, director of INCA, told Granma newspaper that the meeting will be an opportunity to promote the study and approach of novelties in the branches of development of agricultural sciences.
It is also expected to propose more contemporary approaches to face the complicated international context in food production, and to boost sustainable agro-ecology models in the face of the significant impacts of climate change.
INCA was founded by Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz in 1970, with the mission of generating and sharing updated knowledge, comprehensive technologies and new products in biotechnology, plant science and sustainable systems, to efficiently increase agrifood production.
