HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 8 (ACN) The National Center for Seismological Research reported today a perceptible earthquake in the east of the country, the eighth of the current year.
The text referred that at 06:33 a.m. Tuesday, the network of stations of the Cuban National Seismological Service registered the earthquake located at coordinates 21.88 degrees north latitude and 76.38 degrees west longitude, at a depth of one kilometer (km) and with a magnitude of 4.6 on the Richter scale.
The quake was centered 86 km northeast of the city of Las Tunas, it added.
Reports of perceptibility have been received from several localities in the provinces of Las Tunas, Holguin and Santiago de Cuba.
At press time, no material or human damages were reported, the state agency stated.
