LAS TUNAS, Cuba, Nov 7 (ACN) Solidarity with Cuba came from Europe, through the 11th Volunteer Work Brigade Victoria de Giron, from Finland, which for a week worked on the repair and rehabilitation of the Intermediate Care room of the Provincial Pediatric Hospital Martires de Las Tunas.
Tomi Kuhanen, vice president of the Finland-Cuba Friendship Association, pointed out that this solidarity gesture is not only the love of a brigade; it is a representation of Cuba's friends in his country.
We are very happy about the result we have achieved, it is a sample of all of us who came to Las Tunas and of those who are in Finland, who contributed and gave donations; now we are bringing you the images of what has been done so that you can see the transformation and the benefits for the children.
Dr. Maria Cristina Cisneros, director of the hospital, expressed her gratitude for the contribution of the brigade, which will provide greater comfort for patients and health professionals, and handed over the awards and the book containing the history of the center inaugurated 62 years ago.
