HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 6 (ACN) President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez congratulated Dr. Enrique Alemán and stated his joy that the promoter of project Quisicuaba won the National Community Culture Award.
Alemán, a Doctor of Medicine and Social Anthropology, is director of the management group of the socio-cultural project Cabildo Quisicuaba and a member of the advisory committee of the Casa de África museum and the National Council of Culture Clubs.
Among other goals, Quisicuaba aims to encourage community engagement in health, education, self-responsibility, values and identity to support sustainable local development in the municipality of Centro Habana.
