Havana, Sept 21 (ACN) With the aim of promoting the sustainable development of transportation in Cuba, Havana will host the International Fair of Transport and Logistics September 27-29.
Representatives of Cuban and foreign companies in the transport sector will meet at Havana’s Pabexpo exhibit ground to identify new business opportunities, said Cuban Transport deputy minister Naima Alfonso.
The fair will try to encourage the financing of infrastructure development projects, the expansion of spare part supply and the diversification of exports of goods and services.
Participants will come from Mexico, Venezuela, Belgium, China, Colombia, Ecuador, Spain, The Netherlands and Italy. Cuba will also be represented by the emerging non-state sector for the first time.
The fair will include debates and lectures on sustainable passenger and cargo transportation, the modernization of infrastructure and transport means and the use of renewable energies along other topics.
The event will include a business session to consider the advancement of the naval, car and railroad industries.
