Havana, July 12 (ACN) Cuba called for the leading participation of youth movements in the design of government policies, during the high-level forum of youth authorities with the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of our Americas and Peoples’ Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP).

On her Twitter account, Cuban Young Communist League first secretary Aylin Alvarez said that the message of the island’s delegation to the meeting focused on the crucial role of the ALBA-TCP youth movements in designing government policies, and she also denounced those trying to spread an image depicting Cuban youths as foreign to the values of the revolution.

Alvarez stressed the energetic condemnation, a the forum, of the US economic, commercial and financial blockade of Cuba, which is the main cause for limitations and shortages affecting Cuban youths and she went on to appreciate the support given by the ALBA-TCP countries against the over-60-year US hostile policy.
