Cuba and Turkey to expand parliamentary ties



HAVANA, Cuba, Jun 27 (ACN) As part of the official visit of a Cuban delegation to Ankara, the parliaments of Cuba and Turkey will seek to expand their ties.

According to a Prensa Latina, the Caribbean delegation is headed by the vice president of the National Assembly of People's Power, Ana Maria Mari Machado, and also includes the head of the international relations commission, Yolanda Ferrer, and the official Zailin Gaulhiac.
Its work agenda includes conversations with parliamentary leaders and members of solidarity groups.

Mustafa Şentop, president of Turkey's Grand National Assembly said, in a statement this January that he expects cooperative relations between the two parliaments to be strengthened very soon with reciprocal inter-parliamentary visits.

Cuba and Turkey established diplomatic relations on November 25, 1952, based on respect, friendship and solidarity between the two people and governments.
