Matanzas, April 4 (ACN) Young workers with the Cuban Fuel Enterprise marked the 60th anniversary of the Young Communist League and affirmed their commitment to the social and economic development of their country.
No one can be happy about our limitations, nobody likes the shortages, but we can only reach better times with our work in peace, harmony and unity, said Evert Diaz Suarez (25) who is an executive at the oil company. This homeland belongs to all of us, so we have much to do and change, though everything would be easier if the US hostility and restrictions were not there, he said.
Diaz’s statements expressed the feelings of some 200 young employees at the Matanzas fuel enterprise, which has played an outstanding role last year.
Meanwhile, Lisi Walcott, institutional communication specialist at the company told the Cuban News Agency that she feels proud to work in the oil sector because the contribution of all the youths here is very necessary amidst the country’s current economic situation.
The young workers at the Fuel Company receive training on good practices to achieve clean and environment-friendly production and to face any possible oil spill.
