Coming soon, ExpoPinar 2021: exhibition, trade and business fair

PINAR DEL RÍO, Cuba, Dec 24 (ACN) ExpoPinar 2021 fair, to be held on December 28 to 30, is intended to display the province of Pinar del Río’s main achievements in economic-productive, sociocultural, environmental and institutional matters, as well as to identify new business opportunities and coordinate the work of its actors.

The event will bring together more than 40 exhibitors from the state and non-state sectors who will also showcase the most remarkable results of science as applied to production, service and the management of local development with a strategic approach.

Dedicated to extol the people’s resilience during the pandemic and despite U.S. aggressiveness, this exhibition, trade and business fair is a tribute to Fidel Castro, the 63rd anniversary of the Revolution, and the arrival of Caravana de la Libertad in the city of Pinar del Río.

Jesús Gorgoy Lugo, director of the Center for Strategic Management of Local Development (GEDEL) and vice chair of the organizing committee, explained that ExpoPinar will become a space of confluence for exhibitors, visitors and other participants in order to promote local productions and services, as well as opportunity to foster partnerships between producers and marketers and expose the province’s potential to replace imports and to develop e-commerce.

As a sub-venue, GEDEL will host the first regional workshop for the exchange of experiences and good practices in the management of local development with a strategic approach. Among the topics to be discussed will be the current progress in the implementation of local development projects, the creation of links with universities and research centers, and the public-private alliance for local management.

Provincial governor Niurka Rodríguez Hernández, who chairs the organizing committee, said that the fair also seeks to motivate all actors involved to work on other local development projects in the future using the province’s own resources.
