Díaz-Canel receives Minister of Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission

HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 18 (ACN) The President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, received on Friday morning Mr. Serguei Gláziev, Minister of Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasian Economic Commission, who is making a working visit to our country, informed the Presidency.

In the framework of the cordial meeting, both parties highlighted the results of the II Joint Session for Collaboration between the Eurasian Economic Commission and Cuba, and acknowledged that the cooperation relations between both will allow a more effective interaction between the Caribbean island and the Member States of the Union, with whom we are united by traditional and historical ties of friendship.

The President reiterated Cuba's commitment to actively honor the status of Observer State of the Eurasian Economic Union and thanked the Commission for its support in guaranteeing our country's participation in the high-level meetings of that organization.

Serguei Glaziev, for his part, expressed his interest in sharing experiences with the Cuban counterparts and creating inter-business links that will make it possible to dynamize the exchange in the different sectors of mutual interest.

The meeting was also attended by Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz; Deputy Prime Minister Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz; Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, and Acting Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, Ana Teresita González Fraga.
