HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 16 (ACN) The 3rd Plenary Session of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (CC-PCC) began today in Havana, presided over by the president of the country, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez.
As highlighted on Twitter by the member of the Party Secretariat and head of its Ideological Department, Rogelio Polanco Fuentes, the meeting will continue implementing the ideas, concepts and guidelines of the 8th Congress of the PCC.
The PCC website pointed out that on Thursday morning, draft modifications to the organization's Regulations will be submitted for discussion, from the base to the Central Committee level, as well as those related to the processes of Admissions, Sanctions and Deactivations.
A proposal of actions to revitalize and update the functioning of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR) and the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC by its Spanish acronym) will also be presented.
They will focus on issues related to ideological work, mainly research, teaching and spreading of History and Marxism-Leninism.
Participants will also discuss the proposal of the National Program for the study, research and diffusion of the thought, life and work of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz.
The 3rd Plenary Session of the CC-PCC will be held in Havana on Thursday 16 and Friday 17, at the Havana Convention Center.
Among its objectives is to evaluate the fulfillment of the agreements derived from the 2nd Plenum, through information to be offered by the Political Bureau on the work carried out to date.
