HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 16 (ACN) The 11th International Metrology Symposium 2021 begins today its sessions on the platform for virtual events FEVEXPO, of the DESOFT Computer Applications Company.
Its presentations will be held Dec 16-17 to promote the exchange of experiences among executives, experts, specialists, technical staff, academicians, businessmen, producers, importers and traders related to the specialty.
Fernando Antonio Arruza Rodríguez, vice president of the Organizing Committee of the meeting, told the Cuban News Agency that its main issues are related to Metrology in the quality infrastructure, legal and its application fields, traceability and uncertainty of measurements.
In addition, accreditation of calibration and testing laboratories, university-industry-research center articulation, digital transformation, environment, chemistry, and measurements in the health, biotechnology and energy sectors, and in nuclear technologies.
Invited experts will give lectures, among them from the Bureau International des Poids et Mesures (BIPM by its French acronym), located in Paris; and from the International International Organization of Legal Metrology (OIML) and its Certification System, also based in the capital of France.
In addition, the Interministerial Medical Products and Medicines Pricing Committee (CIPM), and the Eurasian Cooperation of National Metrology Institutions (COOMET), of which Cuba is a member.
