HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 16 (ACN) Marcelino Medina Gonzalez, First Deputy Foreign Minister, thanked Serbia this Wednesday for supporting Cuba's resolution against the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States against the Caribbean nation.
According to a note from the Cubaminrex website, during a cordial meeting held on Wednesday, Medina González expressed his gratitude to Nemanja Starovic, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, who is in Havana on an official visit.
During the dialogue, both sides expressed their mutual willingness to continue strengthening political-diplomatic and economic-commercial ties, as well as discussed issues of interest in the regional and multilateral sphere and highlighted the good state of bilateral relations that will reach their 120th anniversary in 2022.
The distinguished visitor was accompanied by Danilo Pantovic, ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Cuba, while Gustavo Tristá, Cuban ambassador to the Republic of Serbia, and other officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were present on the Cuban side.
