Cuban Prime Minister receives President of Bolivia



HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 15 (ACN) Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz received this Wednesday the President of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, Luis Arce Catacora.

The Cuban Presidency's Twitter account reports that Marrero Cruz gave a cordial welcome on behalf of our people and government to the Bolivian leader, who began his official visit to Cuba today, after participating this Tuesday in the 20th Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-People's Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP).

"Prime Minister @MMarreroCruz received this Wednesday the President of #Bolivia Luis Arce Catacora, to whom he gave a cordial welcome on behalf of our people and Government. After participating in the XX Summit of the @ALBATCP, @LuchoXBolivia began #Today's official visit to #Cuba", tweeted the Presidency.

In another communication, it was reported that the Cuban Prime Minister stressed that the meeting will strengthen the bonds of friendship and consolidate the relationship between both peoples and governments.

We reiterate all our solidarity to your people and country, said Marrero Cruz.

For his part, the Bolivian President thanked the warm welcome of the Cuban people and said he felt at home.

We are also willing to work to improve our relations and the lives of our peoples, he said.

Minutes before the meeting, president Arce paid honors to Cuba´s National Hero and toured the José Martí Memorial, as part of his official.

During his stay, he will also hold official talks with Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez and other high-ranking leaders.
