HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 10 (ACN) Cuban authorities and ministries highlighted today on Twitter Cuba's achievements in terms of fundamental rights, on the occasion of the celebration of Human Rights Day this Friday.
Manuel Marrero, Cuban PM, expressed on media that the government guarantees access to education to all the country's citizens.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MINREX by its Spanish acronym) ratified Cuba's commitment to the promotion and protection of all human rights (HR) for all people.
In another communication, MINREX stressed that Cuba's defense of human rights is a legacy of the thinking of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz.
The Twitter account of the Ministry of Higher Education (MES by its Spanish acronym) also celebrated the date and referred that Cuba can proudly show the results in the field of human rights.
Alejandro Gil Fernandez, deputy prime minister and head of economy and planning, affirmed on Twitter that respect for human rights and the full dignity of Cubans has always been a priority of the Revolution.
Likewise, the Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces (MINFAR by its Spanish acronym) condemned on that social media the U.S. economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba and described it as the only limit to human rights on the island.
In addition, Vicente Verez Bencomo, general director of the Finlay Vaccine Institute, acknowledged that in Cuba the priority is the people's health.
As every year, Cuba celebrates this international day in spite of obstacles, aggressions, blockades and manipulations, highlighting the efforts of the country to guarantee all rights to its citizens.
Human Rights Day is celebrated every December 10, commemorating the day on which, in 1948, the United Nations General Assembly approved the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
