Cuba participates at Supreme Eurasian Economic Council

HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 10 (ACN) During his speech at the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and president of the country, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, expressed his conviction that jointly we will advance in the integration processes between our countries.

Cuban foreign minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, referred on Twitter the words of the Cuban president who stressed that the next meeting will be very useful for the realization of common purposes and goals.

In another communication, the Cuban diplomat informed that Cuban leader highlighted the exchanges held with the Gamaleya Institute and the Russian Investment Fund, to carry out studies to combine anti-COVID-19 vaccines from both countries.

The Caribbean island participated virtually in the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council held Friday in Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Supreme Eurasian Economic Council is the supreme body of the bloc, consisting of the heads of the member states of the organization. It considers the key issues of the bloc activities, determines the strategy, directions and prospects for the development of integration and takes decisions aimed at achieving the organization's goals.

Cuba was granted Observer State status to the Union in December 2020 and since then has participated in four sessions of this Council.
